Whoa! Flattered, really.
Thanks for wanting to get to know more about me! ♡
I don't get to talk about myself often so I hope you'll excuse my lack of brevity.

Let's start with some basic information, I suppose.

My name is Maggot, but you can always call me Mags. I'm 27 years old and transmasculine agender. As such, I use it/its pronouns, however if you need to for safety reasons, they/them will suffice but is never preferred otherwise. Presentation wise, I tend to present more fem, and since going on testosterone ~2 years ago, I've only gotten more comfortable doing so. I am a demiromantic asexual. When I do seek out partners, I am primarily interested in men, although I am open to all genders. I'm also polyamorous. I am a leftist, although I've yet to identify more specific labels than that on what exactly that means for me. Lastly on identity terms, I am disabled, mentally ill, and neurodivergent. This causes some stiffness when I communicate over text, so I apologize in advance for any issues it may cause and am more than happy to provide clarification where needed.

On to more fun stuff, shall we?

Various forms of media consumption is my main hobby. I'm an avid horror film fan, but consider myself a big fan of movies in general. My favorite movie is Donnie Darko and has been since I was 17 years old. I'm a huge Jake Gyllenaal fan, I despise Ryan Gosling, and my favorite director is probably Julia Ducournau [although that is more subject to change than the first two]. Similarly, I'm also a huge music guy. The primary genres I gravitate to are goth, post-punk, new wave, darkwave, cold wave, synthwave, East Asian pop, IDM, lo-fi bedroom pop, and anything from the 80s really. My favorite musical artist is Flatsound, and I've had the honor of receiving his feedback on my own music back in 2018. I mostly make music in FL Studio, but I can also play the flute and bass guitar. I'm not super into TV shows, but my two favorite and comfort shows are The X-Files and Hannibal. I am however really into anime/manga. My favorite anime and manga is Jibaku Shonen Hanako-Kun [Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun]. I play the occasional video game. I am mostly drawn toward RPGs/JRPGs, visual novels, simulator games, and any game with a good cooking system. My favorite video game is Disco Elysium. I enjoy playing Super Smash Brothers Melee competitively and I follow its esports scene relatively closely. My favorite Smasher is Plup and I main Princess Peach in both Melee and Ultimate (please don't make me touch Ultimate). I'm also an avid collector. I primarily collect physical media formats (vinyl, CD, DVD, kihno, VHS, blu-ray, laserdisc, cassette, books, etc.), with a focus on VHS tapes and vinyl. I have an Audio Technica LP120 for my records and Sennheiser HD 600s for my desktop. (Also I fucking despise blu-ray discs, but that's a topic for another time). I also collect anime figures, fountain pens, merch, silicone toys, and functional glassware. I'm also super creative. Most of the art assets you see on the site were made by me unless specified otherwise on hover. I do the majority of my drawing and digital painting in Clip Studio Paint, but I also do a fair bit of oil painting. I can also knit, sew [both by hand and with a machine], embroider, cross stitch, loom weave, sculpt, potter, leatherwork, resin craft, solder, code [mainly Python but I also know C#, C++, and clearly to some degree HTML and CSS], 3d model, animate, make cheese, make candles, write, bake, cook, read, learn languages [English is my mother tongue, I was raised bilingually with German but never use it so it's very rusty, I can speak Mandarin Chinese (and write/read simplified) at a conversational level, I'm also learning Norwegian], and many more things I'm probably forgetting. Basically if you can think of something you can create with your hands, chances are I'm interested in doing it. Eventually my plan is to go to college for my degree in Software Engineering.

Let's wrap this up with some things I'm not sure how to categorize but are key to magscore!

I'm really interested in old technology, but more specifically A/V technology from the 80s and 90s. I have a big affinity for CRT monitors which is why most of this site has scanlines, chromatic abberation (although I have Feelings regarding its use in creating CRT effects on LCD screens), color noise, and other artifacts. I also have an interest in the paranormal, supernatural, and cryptozoology, with a particular focus on xenology. I followed in my father's footsteps and participated in SETI@Home for approximately 7 years before its eventual closure. I haven't picked up any similar @Home research projects due to financial constraints. I am a licensed amateur [HAM] radio operator and have been for over 10 years now. I have a great interest in religion of all sorts, but most notably Evangelical Christianity and Catholicism. I was raised, confirmed, baptized, and ordained as a Christian however I am currently a Norse Pagan [Ásatrúar] and practicing witch. Along a similar vein, I also hold a great interest in all forms of divination. I currently own 2 tarot decks [which those close to me say give accurate readings] and a scrying pendulum. My Big Three astrologically are Taurus Sun, Gemini Moon, and Taurus Rising. I'm also interested in and looking into making my own runes using woodburning to represent the first humans in the Eddas. Lastly, if you haven't picked up by now, my favorite color is Gross Green [#A0BF16] but I have to give an honorable mention to the CGA use of Light Cyan [#55FFFF].
